...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Darlington, Florence and Marlboro.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 127 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Florence, Lake City, Darlington, Timmonsville, Quinby,
    Effingham, Evergreen, New Hope, Claussen, Francis Marion
    University, Mars Bluff, Florence Darlington Technical College
    Main Campus, Friendfield, Sardis, Hyman, Mechanicsville,
    Darlington Raceway, Floyd, Hannah and Scranton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
