...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast South Carolina, including the
  following county, Horry.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other
  areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 501 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream
    flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused
    minor flooding in North Myrtle Beach along South Ocean Blvd.
    Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - North Myrtle Beach and Briarcliffe Acres are the most likely
    places to experience minor flooding.
    Additional rainfall amounts up to half an inch are expected
    over the area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach Airport,
    Wampee, Barefoot Landing Area Of North Myrtle Beach, Hand,
    Briarcliffe Acres, Atlantic Beach, Sea Coast Medical Center
    and Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
