...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN LABETTE AND EAST
CENTRAL MONTGOMERY COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM CDT...

At 614 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 3
miles west of Liberty, or 5 miles southeast of Independence, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Liberty around 620 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this storm include Mound Valley and
Altamont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
southeastern Kansas.
