A mild and muggy night is ongoing across much of the central
Plains with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Patchy fog has
developed across portions of western Kansas. Transitioning into
the afternoon hours today, a taste of summer is expected with
highs surging into the 90s and near 100. The warmest temperatures
are expected across portions of south central Kansas and northern
Oklahoma. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this
evening and tonight across portions of far northern Kansas and
Nebraska. Unfortunately, the remainder of the state will remain
dry tonight. Overnight lows will range from the upper 40s across
western Kansas to near 70 across southeast Kansas.
