Sunny skies prevailed across northern Kansas with mostly cloudy
skies over southern Kansas. Daytime highs ranged from the upper
60s and low 70s in the sunny areas, to the cooler low to mid 60s
over southern Kansas.

Cool and tranquil weather conditions are expected for tonight as
surface high pressure builds southward across the central plains.
Overnight lows will dip into the low 40s in Nebraska with upper
50s over eastern Oklahoma.

Surface high pressure will shift slowly eastward into the
Mississippi valley region on Wednesday. Mostly sunny skies with
east and southeast winds are expected across the Heartland.
Daytime highs will mostly be in the 70s with with some locations
over central Nebraska in the cooler 60s.
