Quiet weather encompassed Kansas today, with daytime high
temperatures reaching the 80s and 90s under mostly sunny skies,
coolest over eastern portions of the state.

A cold front approaching from the north will be the focus for hit-or-
miss showers and thunderstorms this evening and tonight, mainly over
the northern half of Kansas. An isolated strong to severe
thunderstorm is possible this evening over northern Kansas. Forecast
low temperatures are in the 60s.

Hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms remain possible statewide
Saturday, as the deep cold frontal zone continues to move south
through Mid-America. Severe weather is not expected. Forecast high
temperatures are in the 80s, about four to nine degrees below
average.
