Last night there were scattered thunderstorms in southwestern
Kansas with additional storms in northeastern Kansas. These storms
had minimal impacts. Predawn temperatures ranged from the lower
60s in western Kansas to the lower 70s in eastern Kansas. As
morning approaches, there is a chance for showers and storms to
develop over southeastern Kansas.

Today, showers and storms will increase across the Central Plains
with the best chances in Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. The main
impacts would be strong to severe damaging wind gusts, heavy
rainfall with the potential for localized flooding, and small
hail. High temperatures will range from the lower 80s in western
Nebraska to upper 90s in northern Oklahoma.

For tonight, widespread rain showers and storms are expected
across the Central Plains with the best chances in eastern
Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. The main impacts of these storms
would be heavy rainfall with localized flooding and strong to
severe damaging wind gusts. Overnight low temperatures will be
slightly cooler with lows ranging from the upper 50s in Nebraska
to the lower 70s in Oklahoma.
