555 AWUS83 KICT 272152 RWSICT KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-281000- Regional Weather Summary National Weather Service Wichita KS 452 PM CDT Mon Jul 27 2026 Very hot and humid conditions prevailed across central and eastern Kansas today. Daytime highs were in the upper 90s to 100s with south winds of 10 to 20 mph. Scattered showers and storms will track slowly eastward from western sections of Kansas and Nebraska tonight. This activity will spread into parts of south central Nebraska and north central Kansas during the late night hours. Otherwise the rest of the region will remain dry tonight. Overnight lows will range from the mid 60s in the Nebraska panhandle, to the muggy upper 70s and low 80s in eastern Oklahoma. A weak frontal boundary will sag southward across the central plains on Tuesday. This will push hotter air southward with cooler readings expected north of the front. Scattered showers and storms will be possible along the frontal boundary during the afternoon hours over parts of Nebraska, southward into northern Kansas. Daytime highs will range from the upper 80s in northern Nebraska, to the low 100s over central Oklahoma. $$
