Breezy northwest winds continued to impact much of eastern Kansas
while light winds were common in western Kansas. Under mostly
sunny conditions, afternoon highs climbed into the mid 50s over
much of western Kansas while those in central and eastern Kansas
saw highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

A ridge of high pressure will build over the region tonight
bringing light winds and mostly clear conditions. With dry air in
place, overnight lows are expected to fall into the 20s areawide.
The lowest readings are expected in low-lying areas where low to
mid 20s may be possible.

Light southerly winds will return to the region on Friday under
mostly sunny conditions. Afternoon highs will top out in the 50s
across central and eastern Kansas while those in far western
Kansas see highs in the lower 60s.
