Mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures were in place across
central and eastern Kansas today. Late afternoon temperatures
ranged from the mid 90s across northeast Kansas to around 100
across the remainder of the area.

Scattered storms will be possible tonight across much of Iowa into
eastern Nebraska along a weak front. Meanwhile for Tuesday, most
of the Plains are expected to remain dry. Overnight lows are
forecast to range from the upper 60s over western Nebraska to the
upper 70s from eastern Kansas through Oklahoma. Dangerous heat
will be in place across all of Oklahoma, southern Kansas and
southern Missouri on Tuesday, with highs in these locations in the
100 to 105 degree range. However, when including moisture, heat
indices will be around 110 degrees. Meanwhile over Nebraska, highs
on Tuesday will be around 90 degrees.
