Morning showers and storms over eastern Kansas dissipated early
this afternoon with most areas seeing partly to mostly sunny
conditions. High temperatures were cooler in the wake of a stalled
frontal boundary over southeast Kansas. Afternoon high
temperatures ranged from the the low to mid 80s over much of
northern Kansas to the mid 90s in far southeast Kansas.

Showers and storms are expected to become more numerous this
evening and tonight with some severe storms and heavy rain
possible. Lows tonight are expected to fall into the upper 50s
near the Colorado state line while far southeast Kansas bottoms
out in the lower 70s.

Showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast on Monday
across southern and eastern Kansas. Cooler air is anticipated in
the wake of the front with high temperatures topping out in the
low to mid 80s for many areas although those near the Oklahoma
state line will see highs near 90.
