Another day of warm temperatures was observed over the Heartland
today, with afternoon temperatures reaching the 70s and low 80s from
Nebraska to Oklahoma. Relatively light winds were observed over most
the Sunflower State, while breezy conditions were noted across
portions of Nebraska. Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies prevailed
as high clouds made their way over the region.

Low temperatures in the 40s and 50s are forecast throughout the area
tonight as light winds prevail across the Central Plains. Aside from
the return of patchy fog across portions of south central and
southeast Kansas late tonight into the morning, quiet weather is
expected heading into the weekend.

Highs in the 70s are expected on Saturday as low morning clouds give
way to mostly clear to partly cloudy skies by afternoon. Breezy
north winds will arrive in central and south central Kansas by early
afternoon as a cold front makes its way through the state. Dry
weather is forecast to continue through the weekend from the Dakotas
to the Red River Valley.
