Hot and very humid conditions plagued central and eastern Kansas
today. Afternoon temperatures were in the upper 90s to low 100s
with dangerous heat indices of 110 to 120 degrees.

Dry and humid conditions expected for tonight across the central
plains with light southerly winds and clear skies. Overnight lows
will range from the mid to upper 70s across the region.

Upper level high pressure will continue to dominate over the
Heartland on Sunday with sunny skies. Hot and very humid
conditions expected again with daytime highs in the upper 90s to
low 100s. Numerous heat advisories and extreme heat warnings are
in effect with dangerous afternoon heat indices ranging from 105
to 120 degrees.
