Quiet weather encompassed Kansas today, as Canadian high pressure
prevailed over Mid-America. Daytime temperatures ranged from the
low 90s over far southwest Kansas, to below average 70s and 80s
further east through the rest of the state.

Areas of thunderstorms will impact portions of the western half of
Kansas overnight. A handful of strong to severe thunderstorms are
possible over western Kansas. Forecast low temperatures will be
below average once again in the upper 50s and 60s.

Areas of showers and thunderstorms will remain possible Sunday,
mainly across the western three-quarters of Kansas. A few strong
to severe thunderstorms are possible. Forecast high temperatures
are in the 70s and 80s, which remain below average for this time
of year.
