Scattered showers continue to spread northward across the central
and southern Plains. Rain has started to fall in metro Wichita in
the last 30 minutes. These showers will continue through much of
the morning before decreasing in coverage this afternoon. Most
areas of central and eastern Kansas will receive less than a
quarter of a inch. Isolated spots of south central and southeast
Kansas may receive more than a half of an inch. Transitioning into
tonight, a cold front will move through the state with additional
rain chances tied to the front. A chilly morning is in-store with
lows ranging from the low 20s across western Kansas to the mid 40s
across southeast Kansas.
