It was a cloudy night over the Sunflower State as low clouds
presided over the area. Despite this coverage, the area stayed dry
as showers and thunderstorms tracked through the Texas Panhandle
into portions of western Oklahoma. Early morning temperatures ranged
from the upper 30s across Nebraska to the lower 60s across the Red
River Valley.

Clouds will linger over the Central Plains as scattered showers and
storms are expected to develop over portions of northern Oklahoma
and southern Kansas today. This activity may develop into central
Kansas as well, and is not anticipated to be severe. The strongest
storms will be capable of gusty winds and locally heavy rain. High
temperatures are forecast to range from the middle 50s across
Nebraska to the 60s and 70s across Kansas and Oklahoma.

Cloud coverage will continue to dominate the Central Plains as
scattered showers and storms continue into tonight. Low
temperatures will range from the 40s across Nebraska to the 60s
across Oklahoma.
