Temperatures were seasonably cooler today across the Sunflower
State with highs ranging from the upper 40s in the northwest to
the lower 60s in the southeast. Skies were overcast with scattered
showers across the area with some places in the northwest seeing
around a half inch of rain. Winds were quite breezy out west with
gusts up to 30 mph, while gusts were between 15 to 20 mph in the
eastern part of the state.

Tonight low temperatures around the Central Plains range from the
upper 30s in Nebraska to the lower 50s in eastern Oklahoma. Skies
will remain overcast overnight with more rain expected in
southwest Nebraska and showers in southern Kansas and Oklahoma.
Winds will be calmer with the strongest wind gusts around 25 mph
in western Kansas.

Friday will bring more rain showers across the Central Plains with
the highest amounts greater than a quarter inch of rain in south
central and southeast Kansas as well as Oklahoma. Overcast skies
will persist across the region with gusty winds around 35 mph in
western Nebraska and eastern Colorado. High temperatures will be
seasonably cool with highs in Nebraska in the 30s with Kansas and
Oklahoma in the 50s.
