Showers and thunderstorms made their way through Kansas overnight as
a cold front stalled out over the area. Locally heavy rainfall
resulted in localized flooding in central Kansas. Low temperatures
across the Central Plains ranged from the 50s and 60s in Nebraska to
the low to middle 70s in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Chances for rain will gradually shift into the northern half of
Kansas this afternoon. High temperatures throughout the region are
forecast to range from the 70s and 80s across Nebraska to the low to
middle 90s over Kansas and Oklahoma. Heat index values will approach
100 degrees from central Kansas to northeast Oklahoma.

Showers and storms will return to Nebraska tonight while Kansas and
Oklahoma remain dry. Low temperatures in the 60s are expected across
the Northern Plains, while lows  in the 70s are forecast for the
Central and Southern Plains.
