Tranquil weather conditions prevailed across central and eastern
Kansas last night. Predawn temperatures were in the 60s with light
easterly winds.

A few showers and storms will linger over central Nebraska this
morning otherwise the rest of the region will remain dry. Surface
high pressure will gradually slide eastward with southeast winds
and below normal temperatures once again for the Heartland.
Daytime highs will range from the 70s in eastern Nebraska to the
mid 80s in central Oklahoma.

For tonight, scattered to numerous showers and storms will develop
over eastern Colorado and western Nebraska. Some of these storms
will become severe with damaging winds and large hail as the
primary risk. These storms will continue to march eastward into
central sections of Nebraska and Kansas late tonight. Overnight
lows will range from the 50s in the Nebraska panhandle to the
middle 60s in eastern Oklahoma.
