Scattered showers and thunderstorms impacted much of southern
Kansas during the overnight and early morning hours while some low
clouds were expanding across parts of northern and central Kansas
early this morning. Early morning temperatures ranged from the 60s
across northern and parts of western Kansas to the 70s in much of
south central and eastern Kansas.

Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will linger across parts
of southern and eastern Kansas this morning before decreasing as
we move through the day. Seasonable temperatures have returned in
the wake of a cold front with afternoon highs expected to rise
into the 80s across the state, warmest in northwest Kansas.

Dry weather will prevail across the region tonight with light
southerly winds returning to most areas. Some patchy fog may
develop across parts of eastern Kansas late. Low temperatures will
fall into the 60s areawide.
