Mostly sunny and hot conditions prevailed across the region this
afternoon high temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 90s in
eastern Kansas with many areas seeing highs around 100 in western
Kansas. Isolated showers impacted parts of eastern Kansas while
more widely scattered activity was developing late this afternoon
in northwest Kansas.

Showers and storms will accompany a cold front tonight across
northern Kansas while those in southern Kansas remain dry. Lows
tonight will fall into the low 60s in northwest Kansas while
southeast Kansas bottoms out in the mid 70s.

A cold front will move slowly south over the region on Wednesday
while providing a focus for showers and storms. A wide range of
temperatures are expected with highs ranging from the low 80s in
northwest Kansas to near 100 in far southern Kansas near the
Oklahoma state line.
