Numerous showers and storms marched slowly eastward across
southern Kansas this morning. Some of the storms produced heavy
rainfall over southeast Kansas. Afternoon temperatures today were
much cooler compared to the last couple of weeks with highs only in
the 80s along with light winds.

A frontal boundary will continue to push slowly southward across
Oklahoma and Arkansas tonight. Scattered showers and storms will
accompany this front with the rest of the central plains north of
the front remaining dry tonight. Overnight lows will range from
the cooler 50s in the Nebraska panhandle with 60s elsewhere across
the region.

A surface low pressure system will move eastward across Nebraska
during the day on Friday. Scattered showers and storms are
expected to develop along the front across central and eastern
Nebraska. A few of the storms could become strong or severe Friday
afternoon. Meanwhile the rest of the region will remain dry with
temperatures warming back into the upper 80s and 90s.
