Numerous showers and thunderstorms are ongoing across portions of
central and western Kansas. These showers and thunderstorms will
expand in coverage to include portions of eastern Kansas this
afternoon. The strongest thunderstorms may produce hail up to
quarter size, damaging winds near 60 mph and heavy rainfall.
Afternoon temperatures will range from the mid to upper 80s across
the state. The bulk of shower and thunderstorm activity will
diminish in coverage tonight. Overnight lows drop into the upper
50s across western Kansas and the 60s across central and eastern
Kansas.
