This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Heat indices may exceed 100 degrees across portions of south-
central and southeast Kansas this afternoon.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon
and tonight. Some of the storms could become severe with hail up to
half dollar size, damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph, and locally heavy
rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Thunderstorm chances are expected again on Sunday with a few strong
storms possible east of the Kansas Turnpike in the afternoon and
evening. Thunderstorms could return to the region again for late
Wednesday night and Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
