This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Very high fire danger is expected Thursday afternoon for locations
generally along and west of Highway 14. Burning is not recommended
in these locations.

Very dangerous fire weather conditions are anticipated for Friday
as southwest winds rapidly increase. This will be especially true
for locations along and southeast of the Kansas Turnpike where any
fire that starts will be very difficult to control. Wind speeds are
expected to be sustained in the 30 to 40 mph range with gusts in the
45 to 55 mph range. These high wind speeds will also have the
potential to cause some minor property damage.

Very high fire danger will also be in place on Saturday afternoon
for locations west of Interstate 135 and Monday afternoon area
wide.
