This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will gradually
exit to the east early this morning. Chances are greatest mainly
along and south of Highway 56. While widespread severe weather is
unlikely, isolated wind gusts to 60 mph are possible, along with
pockets of heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

A few lingering thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and
tonight, especially over southeast Kansas, but the potential for
widespread severe weather and heavy rainfall is low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

A few lingering thunderstorms will remain possible Tuesday through
Wednesday over southeast Kansas, but the potential for widespread
severe weather and heavy rainfall is low.

After a modest cool down through Tuesday, triple digit heat indices
may return by Thursday, and persist through at least the weekend.

Thunderstorm chances may enter back into the forecast by Saturday
night and Sunday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Reports of severe weather, heavy rainfall amounts, and flooding are
always greatly appreciated.
