This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Afternoon through early evening heat indices will range from around
100 to 105 degrees, highest over south-central Kansas.

An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out across central Kansas
late this afternoon into the evening. Severe weather is not expected
at this time.

Additional thunderstorm chances are expected to arrive late tonight
into Saturday morning, especially for areas along and east of
Interstate 135. The strongest thunderstorms may produce quarter size
hail, 60 mph wind gusts, and heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Periodic thunderstorm chances are forecast across the region late
Saturday night through next week, highest during the evening,
night, and early morning hours.

Triple digit heat indices are possible during the afternoon through
early evening hours Saturday and Monday through Thursday, mainly
across south-central and southeast Kansas.

Spotter activation is not anticipated this afternoon or tonight.
