Triple digit heat indices remain possible Sunday afternoon, mainly over south-central and southeast Kansas. After a weak cool down, triple digit heat indices may return by Thursday of next week. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible areawide Saturday late afternoon, evening, and night. Greater chances for thunderstorms arrive late Sunday and persist through Monday night or Tuesday.
