...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN COLBERT AND
NORTHERN LAWRENCE COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM CDT...

At 624 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Leighton, or 7 miles east of Muscle Shoals, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Muscle Shoals, Town Creek, Leighton, Courtland, North Courtland,
Hatton, Northwest Alabama Regional Airport, Ford City, La Grange, and
Ne Smith.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
