SOUTHEASTERN LIMESTONE AND NORTHERN MORGAN COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM CDT... At 756 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Triana, or 7 miles west of Redstone Arsenal, moving southeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Decatur, Redstone Arsenal, Priceville, Trinity, Triana, Huntsville International Airport, Mooresville, Valhermoso Springs, and Basham. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. If on or near Wheeler Lake and the Tennessee River, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
