...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL JACKSON AND
NORTHEASTERN DEKALB COUNTIES THROUGH 915 AM CDT...

At 850 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lookout Mountain to 7 miles northeast of
Ider to near Sylvania. Movement was to the east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40-50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pisgah, Rosalie, Higdon, Sulpher Springs, Ider, Henagar, and Dutton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until noon CDT for
northeastern Alabama.
