Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late in the weekend, and later Flood Warnings will likely be issued between now and then. Until that time, however, some nuisance flooding of lowlands will occur along the river. The Tennessee River at Florence. * At 9:15 AM CST Wednesday the stage was 12.4 feet. * Action stage is 16.0 feet. * Flood stage is 18.0 feet. * Forecast...The river will fall to 11.9 feet this afternoon. It will then rise above flood stage late Saturday evening to 19.3 feet early Monday afternoon. It will fall to 18.7 feet Monday evening then rise again. * Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.
