...River Statement For The Paint Rock River at Woodville...

Runoff from upcoming rainfall on Saturday night and Sunday is
expected to cause river levels to rise rapidly on the Paint Rock
River. Although it is not expected to reach flood stage, some
nuisance flooding of lowlands may still occur. If additional rainfall
occurs, the river could still reach Flood Stage.

The Paint Rock River at Woodville.
* At 3:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 6.1 feet.
* Action stage is 13.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above action stage late
  Sunday afternoon and should crest around 17.0 feet early Monday
  evening. It will then fall below action stage late Wednesday
  morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Flood waters affect mostly bottomland along
  the river...including low lying farm and pasturelands.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels. Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
