...River Statement For The Flint River at Brownsboro...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Flint River. Although it is not expected to reach
flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may still occur.

The Flint River at Brownsboro.
* At 7:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Action stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to crest at a stage of 16.5 feet
  this afternoon. It will then begin to fall, falling to a stage of
  13.4 feet Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Water floods a large field on the upstream
  left bank and is flooding large portions of the downstream left
  bank.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
