.DISCUSSION...
Chances of showers and storms (30-70%) will persist this evening
before decreasing through midnight. Some of these may become
strong to severe, with damaging winds the main hazard along with
heavy rainfall/flooding, frequent lightning, and hail. The overall
severe weather threat is then expected to decrease through
9-10PM. Showers may linger through Friday afternoon before
tapering out. Mainly dry conditions will then follow for the
weekend. Minimum relative humidity values are forecast to remain
above any critical thresholds through Saturday. Mixing heights are
expected to reach between 4000-6200 feet Friday afternoon and
between 5000-7200 feet Saturday afternoon. Additionally, expect
northwesterly transport winds around 10 mph each afternoon.
Lastly, daytime dispersions are forecast to be generally good on
Friday and good on Saturday.
Fog potential over the next few days: there exists a low to
medium chance of patchy to areas of fog late tonight through early
Friday morning, especially for the river valleys, near bodies of
water, and for areas that receive rainfall today. There is the
potential for patchy fog late Friday night into Saturday as well.
Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
