Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
211 PM CST Mon Nov 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions are forecast tonight and on Tuesday, as high
pressure moves off of the VA/NC coast. This will bring a southerly
flow across the area Tuesday. A weak system approaching from the
west will bring a brief period of showers across portions of
northern Alabama Tuesday night. Rainfall amounts of less than one
tenth of an inch are expected. Dry weather returns on Wednesday.

High temperatures on Tuesday should rise into the 70s (lower 70s
west to upper 70s east), with minimum afternoon relative
humidities of 35-45 percent. Good smoke dispersion rates are
forecast Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Is not forecast at this
time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Very dry conditions this
afternoon will improve as temperatures cool tonight. Critical
outdoor fire conditions are not expected tonight into Wednesday.
