Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
210 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025

.DISCUSSION...

There are little to no chances of showers or storms in the
forecast over the next several days. Although drier conditions
will filter into the region from mid to late week, minimum
relative humidity values will remain above critical thresholds.
Mixing heights are expected to reach between 3900-6500 feet
Wednesday afternoon and between 4300-7000 feet Thursday afternoon.
Easterly transport winds on Wednesday will shift to be out of the
southeast on Thursday and mainly be around 10 mph or less each
day. The exception will be Thursday morning when winds may
increase to between 10-15 mph. Lastly, generally good to good
daytime dispersions are forecast both Wednesday and Thursday.

Fog potential over the next few days: there is a low chance of
patchy fog development later tonight, especially east of I-65 in
sheltered valleys, near bodies of water, and where rainfall occurs
this afternoon.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
