Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
1108 AM CDT Wed Jul 22 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Light transport winds will be north to northwesterly today and
moreso westerly tomorrow as a frontal system gets hung up across
the TN Valley. This set up will create the opportunity for
multiple rounds of rainfall Thursday and Friday. Shower and
thunderstorms will produce very heavy rainfall which could lead to
flooding or flash flooding. Therefore, a Flood Watch is in effect
from 7PM Tonight until 7 PM Friday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog possible tonight
and Thursday night.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None.
