Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
247 PM CDT Wed Sep 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Little change to the overall pattern for the next couple days
as high pressure remains in place. Given the position of the
ridge of high pressure, northerly transport winds will remain in
place, generally in the 5-8 kt range through tomorrow. Dry air
will also remain in place but only forecast to drop into the
40-45% range. Fuels likely still are holding some moisture from
last week, especially west of I-65.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy to areas of dense fog
is forecast overnight tonight and overnight tomorrow night.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None.
