Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
140 PM CST Wed Feb 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Several chances for showers and storms exist today through the
weekend as a frontal boundary wobbles northward and southward
across the area during this time. Mild and muggy conditions are
forecast, with SW winds gusting up to 15-25mph at times Thursday
and again on Saturday.

Mixing heights will generally be around 1000 feet or less for the
rest of the week, with Poor to Generally Poor Dispersion.

While showers and storms will be sporadic, confidence in wetting
rains is low Thursday and Friday. Confidence increases on Saturday
ahead of a cold front, however, but an unsettled pattern remains in
place through Monday before heavy rainfall and potential flooding
occur by the middle of next week.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog will be possible
the next several nights thanks to an abundance of moisture trapped
near the surface from recent rain.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None.
