Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
305 AM CDT Sat Sep 5 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Weak transport winds will be the primary limiting factor for any
burning activity over the next several days. There is a low
(20-30%) chance for strong to severe thunderstorms on Saturday
afternoon into the early evening with damaging wind gusts near any
storms. Another threat to be mindful of this weekend is the heat,
as we approach triple digit temperatures and the heat advisory
remains in effect until 8 PM Sunday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Brief development of patchy
mist/fog may occur each of the next few mornings (primarily in
locations that experience wetting rainfall).

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
