Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather (no rain) is forecast through the weekend. However,
minimum relative humidities will remain well above critical
thresholds during this time. Northwest transport winds will be
slightly elevated, ranging between 10-15 mph this afternoon. Light
(less than 5 mph) westerly transport winds will then follow on
Saturday. Mixing heights this afternoon are expected to reach
between 3000-3500 feet, then only reach between 1000-2000 feet on
Saturday. Lastly, daytime dispersions are forecast to be generally
good today, but then be very poor to generally poor on Saturday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible
during the late night/early morning hours both today and Saturday.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time due to
minimum relative humidity values above critical thresholds.
