Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

Rain will return to the region this evening as a line of showers,
with perhaps a few embedded (elevated) storms, moves through.
Forecast rain totals have increased slightly to be a quarter to a
half of an inch area-wide. This system will quickly move to the
southeast late tonight into very early Tuesday morning with dry
weather taking hold once again for Tuesday. Mixing heights will be
fairly low today, ranging between 500-1500 feet. Values then
increase to between 1500-2000 feet by Tuesday afternoon.
Southwesterly transport winds today are expected to reach between
15-20 mph for most locations, then shift to be northerly and
decrease to be 10 mph or less Tuesday afternoon. Lastly, daytime
dispersions are forecast to be generally poor to fair both today
and Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: None at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
