.DISCUSSION...

Southerly 20 foot winds around 10 mph gusting up to around 20 mph
are expected today. Transport winds will be southerly around 25
mph. Mixing heights should climb to between 4000 and 5000 feet in
the afternoon. Good dispersion is expected. There will be a good
gradient in relative humidity values from western Alabama into
eastern Alabama today. More moist conditions are expected west of
I-65 (RH 30 to 40%). Further east, mainly in far northeastern
Alabama relative humidity values will drop to between 22 and 28
percent into the afternoon hours. Luckily, KBDI values will remain
below 300, so no Red Flag conditions are expected.

Southerly 20 foot winds will continue around 10 mph gusting to
around 15 mph on Saturday. Southerly transport winds will lessen
to around 20 mph. Low level moisture advection should be a little
more robust. This should keep afternoon RH values in the 35 to 45
percent range. Mixing heights should be a little higher on
Saturday climbing to around 5000 feet.


Fog potential over the next few days: None is expected due to
breezy conditions expected through Saturday.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected due to low
KBDI values.
