.DISCUSSION...
20 foot winds will be light and variable in most locations today.
The exception to this is in NW Alabama, where they should be
primarily from the NW around 4 mph or less. Transport winds will
be from the north around 10 mph. Mixing heights will climb to
around 6000 feet in the afternoon. RH values will drop to around
50 percent in the afternoon.
20 foot winds on Friday will be light and variable. Transport
winds from the west around 10 mph are expected. Mixing heights
will climb to between 6000 and 7000 feet. RH values will drop to
around 50 percent in the afternoon hours.
Fog potential over the next few days: Drier air will likely keep
fog from developing much on Thursday and Friday. The exception may
be in far NW Alabama towards daybreak on Saturday.
Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected with such
high afternoon relative humidity values expected.
