Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
310 AM CDT Fri Aug 22 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A slow return of moisture over northeast and north central
Alabama, plus daytime heating and resultant instability, will
bring low/medium (20-60%) chances of showers and thunderstorms
this afternoon and evening. The highest rain chances will be over
far NE Alabama, with lesser chances to the west. High temperatures
should range from the mid 80s east to around 90 west, with
minimum afternoon relative humidity values from the mid 50s
percent west to upper 60s percent east.

Light winds at the surface and aloft will produce Generally Poor
dispersion rates over NE Alabama today. Fair smoke dispersion
rates are expected for the remainder of the area.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy late night and early
morning fog is possible, mainly in sheltered valley locations and
in areas that have recently received wetting rainfall.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
