Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
250 PM CDT Sat May 24 2025

.DISCUSSION...

An unsettled pattern is forecast across Northern Alabama into
much of next week. Over the next several days, thunderstorm
complexes forming over the Great Plains will track to the east
and bring daily chances of showers and thunderstorms. Some of
the storms could become strong to severe through Monday. Strong
to damaging wind gusts and hail are the main threats. Locally
heavy rain could result in a few instances of flooding in
susceptible locations. Rainfall amounts of over an inch are
likely into Monday. Fair smoke dispersion rates are forecast
across the area Sunday and Monday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible
mainly in sheltered locations, as well as in and near shower
activity.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
