.DISCUSSION...
A few thunderstorms could occur in far easter portions of NE
Alabama on Sunday in the afternoon. Otherwise, 20 foot winds
around 5 mph are expected. Transport winds from the east between 5
and 10 mph are forecast as well. Mixing heights will climb above
7000 feet, despite some morning clouds east of the I-65 corridor.
Afternoon minimum relative humidity values will not drop below 55
percent. Good dispersion is expected with mixing heights forecast.
Scattered shower and thunderstorms will return to the forecast
Monday afternoon. 20 foot winds will be from the east or southeast
at 5 mph or less. Transport winds will be easterly or
northeasterly around 10 mph. Mixing heights will be a bit lower,
but still above 5000 feet. Afternoon relative humidity values will
remain high, only dropping to around 60 percent. Again good
dispersion is expected with mixing heights forecast.
Fog potential over the next few days: Some very patchy fog may
occur in a few shelter valley locations near large bodies of
water.
Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected with such
high afternoon relative humidity values.
