The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama...
  Central Jackson County in northeastern Alabama...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 323 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across southeastern Jackson and northwestern Dekalb
  Counties. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in the last
  30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible over the next 1 to 3 hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Scottsboro, Rainsville, Henagar, Sylvania, Fyffe, Hollywood,
  Powell, Section, Ider, Pisgah, Dutton, Martintown and Rosalie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
