The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Cullman County in north central Alabama...
  Southwestern Morgan County in north central Alabama...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 519 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Three to four inches of rain
  are estimated to have fallen in this area over a general 3 hour
  period. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Falkville, Baldwin, West Point, Jones Chapel, Battleground, Logan,
  Lacon and Crane Hill.

Emergency Management has reported a rock slide in association with
the heavy rainfall along portions of Hurricane Creek near U.S.
Highway 31  in northern Cullman County.  This may exacerbate flash
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
