...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL KERN COUNTY THROUGH
615 PM PDT...

At 531 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
California City, or 33 miles northeast of Lancaster, moving north at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail and brief heavy
         rain showers.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
California City and North Edwards.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
