...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN MARIPOSA AND
CENTRAL TUOLUMNE COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM PDT...

At 421 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles north of Yosemite Valley, or 20 miles southwest of Twin Lakes,
moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Mariposa and central Tuolumne Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
