.DISCUSSION....
A break in the precipitation for today before the rain and mountain
snows return later tonight lasting through Wednesday. The heaviest
snowfall will be above 8000 feet with upwards of four feet or more
of snow. Foothills and Sierra below 8000 feet have a near 100 percent
probability of an inch of rainfall through Wednesday with a low
probability of up to three inches of rain. The San Joaquin Valley has
a 50 to 99 percent probability of an inch of rain through Wednesday.
