.DISCUSSION...
Strong winds can be expected in the Kern County desert until late
tonight as a disturbance passes through the region. There is also
the slight chance for thunderstorms until this evening. The
disturbance will move out of the area by Wednesday, and zonal flow
is expected to take over through Friday. Another weak disturbance
will provide another chance for showers and thunderstorms over
the Sierra, as well as gusty winds over the Sierra Nevada crest
into the Kern County desert over this weekend.
