.DISCUSSION...
A disturbance entering the region today will start the
transition toward cooler temperatures and improving humidity
recovery. At that time, breezy winds will return during the
afternoon and early evening over the favored locations.
Furthermore, the disturbance has a slight chance of introducing
convection over the Sierra Crest today. This convection may also
produce dry lightning as the low RH`s at the surface reduces the
amount of rainfall that makes it to the ground. In the meanwhile,
the dry conditions over the Kern Desert has elevated the fire
weather concerns as afternoon RH`s drop to single digit values.
