.DISCUSSION...
Warmer than average temperatures are expected for central
California into midweek, though a gradual lowering trend
will occur. Monsoonal moisture will continue to bring
chances for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms
across the district until the middle of the week with the
best chances over the higher elevations of the Sierra
Nevada. Elevated fire concerns will also continue over
the mountains due to cloud to ground lightning. Mixing
heights will also continue high, or above 10,000 feet,
in many locations that will produce favorable conditions
for plume-dominated fire potential through early this
week.
